About Melissa Washburn
Melissa Washburn has built a lifelong career in the arts, earning a BFA in painting and printmaking as an undergraduate, an MA in Arts administration from Indiana University Bloomington, and has kept an illustration and fine art practice alongside a career spanning graphic design and nonprofit arts management.
Her personal work is inspired by the natural world. Melissa grew up hiking, camping, and fishing with her family in the Adirondack mountains of upstate New York, and now lives in the US Midwest near Lake Michigan, where she earned her Indiana Master Naturalist certification in 2019 and volunteers with a local land trust.
